Real Estate

Buying, selling and holding property in Israel — with particular attention to buyers who are not in the country.

The firm handles residential and commercial property transactions, from the initial agreement through registration. A substantial part of that work is for clients living abroad who are buying, selling or inheriting property in Israel and cannot attend to it in person.

Those transactions carry their own problems: powers of attorney executed overseas, funds transferred across borders, tax positions in two countries, and registration procedures that assume a party who is present.

A purchase completed by a buyer who never set foot in the country depends entirely on documents drafted before they left.

What we handle

Purchase and sale
Residential and commercial transactions, from negotiation of the agreement through completion and registration.
Overseas clients
Powers of attorney executed abroad, remote completion, and coordination with foreign advisers on tax and funds.
Registration
Registration at the Land Registry, dealings with the Israel Land Authority, and rectification of historic registration defects.
Inherited property
Property passing under a will or succession order, and the transfer and registration that follows.

How we work

  • Early attention to the documents an absent party will need.
  • Coordination with the notarial work where signatures must be certified.
  • Plain advice on the tax consequences to be confirmed with your accountant.
